While watching the 1st episode of Matt Groening’s Futurama, there’s a line said by the suicide booth in which Fry, unwittingly, mistakes for a for a phone booth.

Since 2008. They’ve had suicide booths since 2008. What do we have? Cars with 4 wheels, healthy living, iPods, Mobile phones, CCTV watching our every move. It’s boring! Where are the flying cars, holograms, intergalactic space travel, promised to us by Sci-Fi films and books and whatnot, I mean I like what we have but in another year and half we’ll be in the proper Sci-Fi year of 2010 (as long as we haven’t been nuked yet of course). Ah well. We may have our 3-course-meal-in-a-pill sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.
