Being the avid gamer and Machinima fan I am, I have to say I couldn’t help but feel jealous at talent that has gone into this music video created using The Sims 2 and Avril Lavigne’s Sk8r Boi. Quite fantastic work in my opinion.

Yes indeed, very impressive stuff. One of the tough things with traditional machinima is using the somewhat jerky movements of normal gameplay to make convincing movements. Sims 2 overcomes that to a degree as it’s essentially a load of canned animations strung together, but this is a really effective use of the game and must have taken a long time in the planning.
